Curved tooth scissors require the correct technique. Thumb position is paramount — pushing your thumb too far through the ring creates sideways pressure and can cause the scissor to lock. Thumb blockers are strongly recommended.

If this happens, do not force the scissor. Please see our self-help videos, take it to your trusted tool service provider, or return it to us and we’ll reset it free of charge — you simply cover the postage to us.

A locked scissor does not need replacing; it needs resetting. Replacing the scissor without correcting the technique will simply cause the same issue again, potentially with the replacement.
