THE LEFT REVERSO™

Flip Curve Fluffer | 7” | Left Hand

Months in the making, with a few attempts along the way, but finally — this is the one.

Our signature Reverso™ Flip Fluffing design has become a staple of the KBW range, and we wanted its left-handed companion to be every bit as good. Not simply adapted, but made properly for the left hand.

Originally widely known as “Magic Fluffing Scissors”, this style has a long history in the Asian grooming market, where variations of the curved, reversible design have existed for decades. More recently, “flip fluffing” has become the fashionable UK terminology for the same well-established principle.

The Left Reverso™ is our take on that classic design — built for the left hand.

Its distinctive A-shaped shanks allow the scissor to be flipped directly in the hand. One way it curves inward; flip it over and it curves outward. No changing scissors and no fighting your wrist — simply flip and carry on.

The 43 bladed teeth sit beautifully between a blender and a fine chunker, shifting weight while leaving a soft, natural finish without harsh marks.

Brilliant for blending over scissor work, softening outlines, shaping curves and tackling areas where reversing the direction of the curve makes all the difference.

A SMALL BUT IMPORTANT FOOTNOTE

Incorrect thumb placement will lock these scissors. Push your thumb too far through the ring and the resulting pressure through the pivot forces the teeth down onto the blade, creating a burr. Once this happens, the scissors are locked and will need a sharpener to correct them.

This is not a fault with the scissors. It is caused by incorrect thumb position and excessive pressure through the handle. Curved tooth scissors are precision tools and simply won’t tolerate a heavy thumb buried through the ring.

This is a common issue with curved tooth scissors, which is why correct handling matters. Please check our Instagram help and instruction videos before use. If you haven’t used this style before, we strongly recommend thumb blockers.

Precision tools like a light hand. Wrestle them and the teeth wrestle back.
